brntrout09 Sep : 22:28Hi Adam: no, i haven't heard of any places. Maybe check with your local hatchery.
adam08 Sep : 07:31jst wondering if there is a place that i can buy loose brown trout eggs
Fish Finder05 Jun : 15:34'Tis correct! I saw a CO out in the bush too, which was nice. I didn't see any steelhead remaining up there like I have in past years. And I think your ideas are correct about the 'steelhead express' bringing salmon up there.
I did however hook into a 20" plus brown in there this time. That didn't last long though, after catching wee brookies for the afternoon I wasn't ready whatsoever for that beast to come out!
We hit a really nice hatch of green drakes on the main branch outside of Durham as well.
brntrout05 Jun : 03:26NEWS As some of you have noticed, our website has been experiencing problems this week. This was due to an explosion and fire in the electrical room where our servers are physically stored. Luckily no data was lost, but it taken some time to reconnect power and re-initialize the programs. This affected nearly one million websites. At the present time power is being supplied by outside generators until they can rebuild their electrical room. Once this is completed, they will have to power down to change over. We will keep you updated regarding their progress. We have been diligently working on following their progress. Thanks for your patience and support.
brntrout29 May : 09:55Yes, many people may not realize that the tribs open later. The reason ( I think) is that the MNR and some volunteers transport steelhead up the river and that they are still spawning

Cold, damp weather has returned to southern Ontario. We went fishing on Lake Huron last weekend, but the action was a little slow. It should be better this weekend. Best action off the piers is when waves have whitecaps, cloudy, drizzly days. Be careful of snow flurries and whiteouts coming off the Great Lakes. Water temperatures are frigid with the high probability of hypothermia if you get wet. Ice is starting to form along river banks in the early morning.
Here is the Sturgeon (go to Fishing picture page), Colton and Tony, Flat Rapids, French River, 6'3", 72 lb. While downrigging at 32 feet on a 3", floating rapala, 12 lb test line, no leader. The fish was caught, picture taken and weighted and then released. Oh, what a thrill!
Best Lures/Bait: Trout/Salmon: Aglia #2 spinners, worms, minnows, crayfish, J13 Rapala, #5-#7 Kwikfish, Cisco Swimmin' minnow
Downrigging: Use of flashers can greatly increase your catch. Work areas that have high concentrations of baitfish. Rainbows are remaining close to river mouths.
Flyfishing Flies: Iso, trico, various caddis, green rock worm, white dun, and bloodworm.
River Flow Rates: moderate: Saugeen River (Durham) rising at 1.44M, Saugeen River (Walkerton) up at 9.9M, Sauble River (Sauble Falls) up at 1.1M, Sydenham River (Owen Sound) up at 5.14M, Credit River at Streetsville moderate at 4.5M, Credit River at Orangeville up at 11.2M, Grand River (Doon) up at 4.18M.
Prime Fishing Times: Saturday November 15th: 12:07am to 3:52am (moon overhead), 12:32pm to 4:18pm (moon underneath). Saugeen conditions: moderate, rising, tea coloured water, 4C, and visibility 2 feet.
